‘Slobodne’ literally means ‘freedom’ & speaks volumes of their long family struggle against various political forces to hold on to their estate, their escape from the corporate world to a life in nature, and of course the freedom they take in experimenting with their wines. They’re deeply committed to biodynamics & only 2.5k bottles of this beaut were made so she’s an absolute diamond. The name ‘Deviner’ represents the blend of indigenous variety Devin & super aromatic Traminer but it also sounds a bit like ‘Divine’ or ‘Diviner’ & that works for me! Both grape varieties were wild fermented separately in open vats outside and saw 10 days of skin contact with regular punchdowns. After pressing, the wine was blended into two 1200L Ovoid egg tanks where it remained on its fine lees for 1 year. She’s rich with pithy, zippy grapefruit & lychee notes & huge, floral aromatics. The longer she’s open, the more layers & depth she will reveal…I’d chill her down to begin then let the warmth creep up alongside your intrigue…

Varietals: 50% Devin, 50% Traminer
