Migrante ‘19, Podere San Biagio, Italy
Named after the travels of the shepherd in tribute to the Pecorino grapes journey from high mountains down to the sea edge, a celebration of the migration alongside the flock to it’s current home. Young gun Jacopo farms a teeny 5 hectares of vines for this wine within a significant eco conscious agro legacy where they have been restoring ancient native heritage crops to the landscape & reclaiming an environmentally sound supply chain.
With a golden hue & full bodied richness this baby’s all rustic aromas with a fresh yet textured palate. Pecorino is an expressive grape that reflects it’s terroir & this beauty show off firm minerality, a keen acid structure & notes of yellow fruits, white pepper & a hint of ginger. With only 5k bottles & half of them staying in Italy, this treasure is literally that.
