La Rose et Le Vampire ‘19, Slobodne, Slovakia


The biodiversity of the sister’s farm is bursting at the seams with bee keeping, livestock & crops growing alongside 17 hectares of vines. With an average age of 20, the vines are hand harvested & both varietals direct pressed independently. Agnes & Miso then ferment the berries separately in clay Tinajas, or Spanish amphorae, before blending & transferring to ovoid eggs & steel tanks for 8 months. She’s a belter of a colour & oozes wild strawberries with a hint of raspberry & sweet spice, showing a fresh clean acid structure. Very Moorish & scrummy, versatile enough to be both a perfect pal on a hot beach & best mates with your spicy curry on a Friday night.
