Grand Pestilence ‘17, La Sorga, France

£24.50

Antony is a bonafide point of reference for natty lovers the world over: A legendary negociant buying grapes from exceptional organic/biodynamic terroir from over 30 vineyards around the Languedoc. Grown on schist this glorious lightish red blend is made by macerating whole bunches of Carignan for 60 days with partially de-stemmed Grenache. Notes of white pepper, rose & peony lend a lush herbal freshness to balance an underlying sour cherry, raspberry fruit-fest. Buzzy & bright, this ode to Grenache (note the 3 varieties) is hella fun despite the serious name. Get involved in the smashfest, aged for a year in concrete.

Varietal: 90% Carignan, field blend of Grenache Noir, Blanc & Gris
Faugeres, Languedoc
Organic, skin contact, unfiltered, vegan
