PRODUCER
Set within 230 acres, Charosa are a prestigious producer of fruit forward new world wines. The creation of fine Charosa wine is based on the fusion of science, art and winemaking techniques unique to the territory, with open tank fermenters being pioneered for the first time in India.

VITICULTURE + VINIFICATION
The fruit was sourced from a nearby contract vineyard of red laterite soil, rich in iron oxide and aluminium with gentle slopes for drainage. At 750 metres above sea level, the vines benefit from VSP trellising. The fruit was harvested at around 22 Brix and processed at a low temperature using an inert gas pneumatic press. Fermentation was carried out at a low temperature for maximum expression of fruit aromas using QA23 yeast. Juice was stirred on fine white lees throughout the process to encourage structure and delicate extraction for optimum fruit. 10% was aged in French oak barrels and blended into the final cuvee.
