Oh my, this beautiful unoaked Chardonnay hails from the Mâcon zone & presents in a gorgeous linear style, far from the oaky/buttery vibe you may expect. Fermented in steel, she’s fresh & lean with oodles of minerality & a stunning progression through the palate to a lush long finish. The Cluniac vineyard, where the Chardonnay grows, is atypical due to its exposure, due west, & the variety of soils- namely clay-limestone, clayey marls and granites- which give the wines their distinctly aromatic palate. Winemaker Peter Gierszewki is a 1st gen Burgundian of Polish parents bringing a boundary-pushing ethos to his cellar.
