Comadellops Vi Vermell ‘19, Costa D’Or Terroirs Mediterrani, Spain


From the vineyards of Comadellops where the wolves & foxes roam comes this crisp, dry, tangy red-berry bomb. After a week of maceration in clay the grapes are not pressed but simply bloodied so the free run juice can be collected and aged in amphora and demi-muid (600l used oak barrels) for 6 months before bottling. Complex, fresh mineral goodness balances the red fruit to perfection while still smacking of intrigue: So smashable it should come with a warning. Chill before serving & observe the evolution as it opens up from your first glass to the last.
